About Dixie

Dixie is a scientist and passionate yoga teacher who found yoga in 2018 when life’s stresses had started to take a toll on her health and well-being. Initially, her interest in yoga was sparked as a way to get moving, lose weight, and improve her fitness. But it wasn’t long before yoga became an obsession, as she learned to reconnect with her body in a meaningful way after years of self-criticism.

Dixie began her journey with a daily home practice guided by Adriene (yes, that Adriene!) and later explored in-person classes. A transformative six-week course with Anne Marie Southcombe helped her develop a self-led practice and deepened her connection to yoga.

In 2022, seeking to advance her personal practice, Dixie enrolled in a 200-hour Progressive Vinyasa teacher training with Carol Murphy of Green Lotus Yoga. While she hadn’t initially planned to teach, the opportunities that arose after graduation revealed her love for sharing the practice with others.

Now, Dixie is completing her 300-hour advanced training with The Elbowroom in Dublin and has returned to Green Lotus Yoga in 2025 to collaborate on their 200-hour teacher training as a co-trainer.

She has also developed her own unique style of dance-inspired yoga called Rhythm & Flow, which she has taught at workshops and festivals. In 2023, she expanded her movement repertoire by completing BM Level 1 training with Brad Terrell in Lisbon.

Outside the studio, Dixie loves dancing, exploring diverse movement modalities, lifting weights, and walking her dog. For her, yoga is more than just movement—it’s a practice of connection: to oneself, to others, and to the community.
